NEW Premier after the 2024 Election

Queensland has a new premier! 🇦🇺 David Crisafulli was sworn in as the state's 41st premier on October 28th, following a historic election victory for the Liberal National Party. Crisafulli, who has been a member of parliament since 2012, takes the reins from former premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, who had served in the role since 2015.

As premier, Crisafulli is responsible for leading the parliament, choosing ministers and allocating portfolios, and representing his electorate. He's also the main channel of communication between the Queensland government and other state and territory governments, as well as the Commonwealth government and overseas governments.

Crisafulli has hit the ground running, already reshuffling portfolios and announcing new ministries. His focus will be on delivering for the people of Queensland and implementing the policies that the LNP campaigned on during the election.

It's an exciting time for Queensland, and all eyes will be on Premier Crisafulli as he leads the state into the future!
